Today we have gone live with our Norfolk hand crafted vegan, vegetarian and organic chocolate bars from Gnaw. These are a wonderful addition to our website.
Here at Norfolk in a box we love everything about Norfolk grown produce and now Norfolk produced products. From the very start all those years ago who would have known we were going to be delivering Norfolk made chocolate along side our successful Norfolk vegetable boxes and Norfolk luxury hampers.
Major changes will be happening to our website in the coming weeks and we are very excited about it! Firstly we would like to thank every single one of our customers for sticking with us and making this all possible, as without you we simply wouldn’t be here so thank you all so much from everyone here at NIAB.
We have been listening to our customers and as a result it’s our understanding that some people find the existing site difficult to use in certain places, with this in mind we are going to be making the site more user friendly. We’ll also be restyling the website making it generally more inviting with a whole lot more happening behind the scenes too, enabling us to support our customers for the future.
We will be making updates to this post over the coming days and weeks so keep an eye on this post if you want to keep updated.

Today we received our lovely Norfolk packaging for our Fabulous Norfolk Pork Pie, The Norfolk Porker.
Our Norfolk Porker is all Norfolk from the off. Norfolk Free Range pork that’s been Farmed in North East Norfolk. The Pies are produced and cooked in the Heart of Breckland making our Norfolk Porker all Norfolk.
The wonderful Norfolk Made Pork Pies are Made Every day of the week for us here at Norfolk In A Box. The Name Norfolk Porker was something we asked lots of people their opinion on, the name we finally came up with was The Norfolk Porker. Personally I think its a spot on name for such a lovely product.
Made with Norfolk Free Range Pork, Short Crust pastry, a little jelly and made in Norfolk by Norfolk cooks and Norfolk butchers is something we just love.
Our Norfolk Porker is available in our Build A Box section of the website, this is our bespoke Box section were you pick what you would like in your produce box, completely Free delivery on all of our Norfolk Veg Boxes, Salad Boxes, Fruit Boxes and all of our luxury Norfolk Hampers, Norfolk Meat Boxes.
We Will also be adding our Norfolk Porkers into our Norfolk Luxury Hamper range to be sent out anywhere in the uk. We believe this is something nice to go along side other Norfolk Products in the Hampers.

We have also included a few other boxes for the customer who wants a bit more with our Mix up box. This box has Norfolk vegetable, fresh salad and fresh fruits from around the world that we have hand selected for you. We also now have the Keto Box, this is filled with fresh produce from both Norfolk and the UK. Then we have the Full box which is filled with fresh produce, this is very similar to our mixup box with a few extras, includes Fresh Bread, Norfolk Free Range Eggs, English Butter and long life milk.
All of our Produce boxes on the website are delivered to your front door, free of charge. If you’re one of our customers who’s at work in the day that’s not a problem, we are happy to leave in a safe place. We have this option on the website when you order your produce box. When we started Norfolk in a box it was all about Norfolk’s fresh fruit and vegetables, it’s moved on since then to everything that Norfolk has to offer. We now offer Norfolk meat Boxes, these are delivered in temperature controlled insulated bags with their own ice pack. We have spent a lot of time getting the Norfolk Meat Boxes correct and offer some lovely mixes of Norfolk meat, from your Family Norfolk Meat pack to our boneless BBQ Meat pack. Norfolk Free Range Eggs, these are as fresh as eggs get, from the West Acre Estate in Norfolk. You won’t find better. Norfolk Honey, is from the main man himself, Kieth is a fountain of knowledge when it come to his Norfolk Bees and Norfolk Honey. Norfolk Fruit Juices, are from the one and only Ashill fruit Farm, they are simply the local authority on fruit juices. Norfolk Flour, is direct from the mill in Downham Market. Norfolk cakes & Norfolk biscuits are baked by a local company in Norfolk, I love cake and biscuits, anyone who knows me will tell you that. After trying lots and I mean lots we found the perfect company. Norfolk Cheese is something we have added in the last few months, we are over the moon to have Mrs Temples and Ferndale Cheese on our Website. We are planning on having these on our Norfolk Luxury Hampers range for Christmas 2020 to send anywhere in the UK. What a lovely Christmas gift someone will be receiving.

We are lucky to be just 10-15 min from Heygates Farm so freshness is a guarantee with our Norfolk In A Box customers.
From this morning we have now added the Norfolk Peer and Norfolk grown Strawberries along with the Norfolk Raspberries to the website.
All these wonderful locally grown products are in our Build A Box section of the website. We are lucky to have this available on the website to allow you the customer to make and design your very own bespoke boxes.
We were the first home delivery box company in Norfolk to offer this service to our customers. This makes us the market leader within Norfolk and over the last 3 months we have seen a lot of companies jump on the bandwagon.
Lucky for us we had the head start with this product alongside our pre selected Norfolk vegetable box, fruit box and salad boxes. All these are filled with fresh produce all hand selected by ourselves.

Here’s how to grill your Norfolk asparagus without some ending up charred and others ending up crunchy spears and still others slipping through the grill rack. This easy approach relies on a reliable and simple technique of skewering several spears together into a raft of sorts, which makes it easier to flip the Norfolk asparagus and to ensure all the spears are evenly cooked until slightly charred on the outside and tender-but-still-firm on the inside.
Prepare a hot grill and oil the grill rack. Bring a large pot or wide saucepan of salted water to a boil. Fill a large bowl halfway with salted ice water.
Holding an Norfolk asparagus spear in your hands, with one end in each hand, bend the spear until it snaps near the stem end. Toss the stem end in the compost and set the spear aside. Repeat with the remaining Norfolk asparagus.
Toss all the spears in the boiling water for 1 minute and then, using tongs, plunge them in the ice water for 30 seconds. Drain and dry the Norfolk asparagus. Place the spears flat on a cutting board and line up the tips. Meanwhile, if using bamboo skewers, place them in the hot blanching water for a few minutes to help prevent them from burning on the grill.
About 1 inch (2 1/2 cm) from the bottom of a spear, push a skewer perpendicular through the center of its spear. Pass the skewer through 5 more spears. Repeat this step with another skewer, pushing it through the 6 spears about 1 inch below their tips. You will end up with a raft of 6 spears connected by skewers at the top and bottom. Continue in this way to make the remaining rafts. Brush each asparagus raft with the olive oil and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
Grill/BBQ the Norfolk asparagus rafts until they’re slightly charred, 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Serve with the lemon wedges on the side for squeezing.

We still get lots of emails each week asking if we can deliver to your work place, the answer is YES, probably 90% of our customers are at work when we deliver, we are happy to leave the box in a safe place when requested, its not a problem.
Our Norfolk Meat Boxes are delivered in temperature controled Bags with ice pack, all individually packed in 100% recyclable bags. the bags are also ready to be frozen with a description on each bag.
